Rowel Help Needed October 5th & 6th

Your Rowel Editor will be in Mexico the week of October 3rd and, hence, not at the meeting of October 5th when the District Governor will be at our meeting or at the Multi Club Gathering on October 6th.Jessica, who usually takes notes and photographs at meetings, which I cannot attend, so Jen can put together a Rowel, will also be unable to attend. She has an obligation with her daughter. So we need another member to volunteer to take notes and photos at those meetings and email them to Jen.I will have drafted a Rowel for him to fill in.If you can do it, please email Jen and myself.

Jim Kirks Memorial Service

The memorial service for Jim Kirks scheduled for August 28th in the Faith Lutheran Church in Chico, has been canceled due to Covid in the church. It will be rescheduled.

The Rotary Foundation Donations

When every Rotarian gives every year, no challenge is too great for us to make a difference. The minimum gift to The Rotary Foundation is $25.00.   An annual $100.00 gift is a sustaining member.  Once your donations accumulate to $1,000 you become a Paul Harris Fellow.

It is possible to learn more about The Rotary Foundation on the Rotary web site.

Your gift can be made online or by sending Jessica Thorpe a check made out to The Rotary Foundation to Durham Rotary, P.O. Box 383, Durham, California 95958.

We are back to live meetings. So, bring guests who you think you can interest in becoming a member.Think of business owners or managers to bring.Your dinner and your guestís dinner will be paid for by the Club. Also, bring a guest to one of our occasional social gatherings in the Durham Park.

It was the Harvest Festival. We had a lot of people attending but, based on what the Condiments Committee had left over, probably not up to the usual amount we had prior to Covid.Anyway, the report is in the photos below.
